The OMRON G9KC series is an innovative range of 4-pole high-power PCB relays specifically designed for the demanding environment of 3-phase AC charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) and solar energy systems. The biggest challenge was achieving extremely low contact resistance.
With the result, OMRON offers an instant solution to the persistent problem of heat generation in compact charging stations.
Ultra-low contact resistance: With a maximum initial resistance of only 6 mΩ, these relays generate significantly less heat during charging.
High switching capacity: The relay can switch 40 A at voltages up to 480 VAC. This makes the series perfectly suitable for the widely used European 22 kW charging stations.
Compact PCB design: With dimensions of only 35 × 58.5 × 47.5 mm, a single G9KC relay replaces larger traditional contactors or multiple separate single-pole relays.
