Korean Electronic Component probably better known as KEC
Began with basic assembly in the 1960s, rapidly advancing through government-supported R&D, focusing heavily on memory chips (DRAMs). By the 1990s, Korea became a global leader, especially with companies like Samsung, KEC and LG, leveraging events like the 1988 Olympics to build expertise, culminating in dominance in semiconductors and complex ICT components today.
