The new encapsulated transformers from Zettler are characterized by their small design and low heat generation. With an output power ranging from 0.35 to 2.8 VA, Zettler's BV series are perfect for applications such as LED lighting, electrical measuring equipment, motor controls and much more.
Their very good thermal properties are achieved by very accurate winding and an epoxy resin sealing carried out under vacuum. As there is minimum electromagnetic interference, there is no need for additional shielding what also saves further costs, space and weight. Zettler's patented dual-chamber winding achieves unrivaled 14 kV dielectric strength.
Dielectric strength is 4,200 Vrms, with optional external insulation available to increase dielectric strength between the component and the PCB. These BV series from Zettler are therefor also ideal for the alternative energy sector, solar inverters and smart meters are just two possible applications
Both BV20 & BV30 series are full short-circuit proof.
